About Us

First Ward Community Service

Since 1931, First Ward Community Service (FWCS) a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit agency has been working to improve the quality of life for families and individuals. First Ward Community Service is located in the Northeast section of the City of Saginaw, which is commonly known as the Potter-Longstreet neighborhood.

Our center serves as a support/advocacy network for residents of Saginaw County. We provide a range of services to low and moderate-income families who reside throughout Saginaw County. Our programs and services are responsible and accessible to families and individuals ranging from senior citizens to children (six years and older), regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
